The cornerstone of the Ireland's ancient East, County Wexford boasts idyllic harbor towns, spectacular beaches and stunning scenery. It may be a long-time favourite among locals but it is only now starting to draw international tourists to its coasts. Wexford Town itself is a maze of medieval streets with old-fashioned pubs and repurposed buildings as well as a buzzing arts and craft scene. For music lovers, Wexford Opera Festival is a must-see (although, you'll only be lucky enough to see it if you visit in October).
