The Azores are a true oasis when it comes to cetacean observation, being possible to see around 28 different species throughout the year, this represents 1/3 of the world's known cetacean species.
You'll observe these magnificent mammals with the help of a “Watcher” (a member of the tour operator team located on land), located in a high area, where, through long-range binoculars and radio guidance, vessels about the whereabouts of cetaceans. This way we can maintain a cetacean sighting rate of over 90%.
