A great day out, packed with nature and adventures!
Your driver will pick you up from your hotel between 8.30am and 9.00am (please be ready from 8.15am in the hotel lobby). Jump on board the air conditioned Land Rover (or similar 4x4 vehicle) and start your adventure!
Enjoy a lovely drive along the slopes of the volcano (regular road) to reach the nearest lookout point, where you will enjoy an amazing view of the Bove Valley, a spectacular natural basin where the lava flows during the Mount Etna eruptions. To get to this point we will drive along an off-road area and a short amount of trekking is required to reach the lookout point. We will then proceed to an area called Piano Provenzana, where we will see the effects of the great eruption of 2002. From there, after the off-road itinerary, you will visit the lava front of 2002 and a natural cave created from the lava flow. You will then relax and have lunch in a local farmhouse: you will be served a 3-course menu that includes a rich selection of starters (salami, cheese, seasonal vegetables), two different types of pasta, and dessert. Lunch will also include local wine and mineral water and coffee. After lunch you will be transferred back to your hotel in Taormina area.
