1. Enjoy breathtaking hiking trails

Szczawnica is the perfect place to get your sports gear on - there are walking trails all around! At the Pieniny Mountain National Park you can explore the mountain slopes, flora and fauna, and enjoy beautiful views. The Pieniny Route starts in Szczawnica and runs along the Dunajec River, ending at the Slovak Red Monastery.

2. Slide down the slopes!

Szczawnica has a variety of ski resorts, the Palencia Ski Station being one of the best! Take the chairlift up to the 722m high Palencia Mountain with 3.7km of ski runs from beginner to intermediate. The longest run is on the nearby Szafranowka Mountain which is approximately 1800m long!
