Meet your guide in Ferla and with your vehicle, following the guide, you will arrive at Sella di Filiporto, one of the entrances of the Nature Reserve Oriented Pantalica. Following an ancient mule track, you will reach the Byzantine village and the Oratory of San Micidiario completely dug into the white rock. You will drive, always following the guide, to the Prince’s Palace, the Anaktoron, a megalithic structure of the thirteenth century BC of which only a few ruins are visible.
Always by car, you will reach another entrance of the Nature Reserve of Pantalica. You will visit, going downstream, another Byzantine village with its oratory, the Church of the Crucifix where you can admire a Byzantine painting illustrating the Christ on the cross. Thanks to the presence of the naturalist guide, you will discover some of the 700 species and subspecies of plants that inhabit these fascinating places. Continue along the rock path until you reach the clear waters of the Calcinara River, the perfect place to take a regenerating swim.
