Walk through olive groves and get an in-depth introduction to cultivation, different cultivars, and production methods.
You'll take part in the harvesting using traditional tools or, if you prefer, you can just assist in the harvesting. Later you'll visit an olive oil mill and its processing machinery and you'll have the chance to see the transformation from olives into extra virgin olive oil.
An EVOO tasting and a typical lunch will be offered. Tasting and lunch include: olives, local bread accompanied by various types of olive oil, aged cheese, traditional aged sausage, bruschetta with local paté, water and one glass of white or red Sicilian wine, in conjunction with local stuffed pizzoli and the sweet blend of ricotta and honey.
