Start this full-day excursion on the North side of Etna with an enjoyable drive up to Piano Provenzana, situated at 1.810 meters above sea level, passing through a mix of nature and volcanic scenarios, and followed by a short technical stop.

Now the real experience starts, on a specialized off-road 4x4 vehicle with a volcanological or alpine guide that will accompain you for the entire tour. You will see the lava-covered hotel and the lava fields left behind by the 2002 eruption, and the rugged terrain with hardened lava flows creating jagged rocky landscapes, starkly beautiful and eerily desolate.
