Visit the resort town nestled between the desert of the Sinai Peninsula and the Red Sea. Well known for its golden sand beaches, crystal clear waters and coral reefs. If you're looking fora relaxing day on the beach followed by some shopping and dinner, you can head down to Naama Bay, with the promenade lined with palm trees and bustling with bars and restaurants. If you're after more of an adventure you can head to the Ras Muhammad National Park where you can take a dip with the marine life and go on a diving excursion around the Shark and Yolanda reefs. If you do decide to take a dive you can also view the Thistlegorm shipwreck, which met its fate in October 1941.
Only around 80 km from Sharm El-Sheikh, you can also visit the popular town of Dahab. It was once a fishing village, but now well known to be one of the best diving destinations and treasured by the locals for this. You can divide the city into a few different sections, depending on what kind of traveler you are. The area of Mashraba is more touristic due to a large number of hotels and amenities. In the Southwest, you will find Medina, more popular for the backpackers and it has the famous Laguna area, for shallow-water windsurfing. Thanks to the development of Dahab, it has now become a tourism hot spot accommodating all types of travelers.
