Enjoy a fun and exciting route along the South West coast of Sardinia. You'll walk from Portoscuso to Portopaglia, between wild and breathtaking scenery. You'll see a stretch of coastline, full of naturalistic, historical and geological charm.
Accompanied by an expert guide, you will depart from Tonnara di Portoscuso, walking on volcanic soil with rich vegetation around, and among the remains of military structures. You'll admire the Rocky Layers of volcanic origin, Trachyte, Ignimbrite, Sandstone, and Fossil Dunes. You'll arrive at the ancient Tonnara of Porto Paglia, where the tuna fishing still exists. Long sandy stretches that once formed large dunes, spectacular coves and Spanish towers embellish the area and bring you back to the island's past. You'll also see the coves of Guroneddu, the Gulf of Lion, and remnants of World War II.
There is also something for botanical enthusiasts - you'll see some particular species such as the coastal Mediterranean scrub, mastic, cistus, helichrysum, juniper, orchid specimens, Mushroom of Malta, the mortar mushroom and the Carpobrotus commonly called Fico degli Ottentotti. There is so much to discover! At the end of this tour, you'll have a chance to try a small final apéritif with typical Sardinian products such as sausage, cheese, and a glass of wine.
