Riva del Garda is an Italian town, part of the Autonomous Province of Trento, with the fifth largest population after Trento, Rovereto, Pergine and Arco. It is the most important center in the territory of Garda Trentino, loved by tourists from around the world who find a true paradise on earth here. This happened in the past too, when famous people like Nietzsche, Kafka and the Mann brothers stayed in the city.
The city centre of Riva del Garda is fascinating for its art and architecture. Do not miss a visit to the Rocca (now home of the Museo Civico and of the Pinacoteca), the Torre Apponale (ancient place of trades and fairs), the Palazzo Pretorio (under the loggia it hosts Roman, medieval and modern tombstones and the historic Town Hall), the Chiesa dell'Inviolata and the Chiesa di Santa Maria Assunta (well known examples of Baroque architecture).
The "Perla del Lago di Garda" is in high demand from sports fans, who can find here a wide choice of alternatives. Starting with sailing and windsurfing,in the area you can also practice diving, fishing, mountain biking, free climbing, hiking routes, canoeing, canyoning, boat racing, paragliding, horseback riding, trekking and much more.
