This day tour will take you to see Katla Ice Cave or "The Secret Ice Cave", and the glacier itself, present you with black, white, and blue ice that is over 800 years old! Inside the cave, there are high walls of ice that have been sculpted by glacial water throughout the centuries. Water drips all around and the air is cold and fresh.
You will then move on to the beautiful Seljalandsfoss in which a path behind allows you to walk, followed by the mighty Skógafoss waterfall; walk and drive on black sand beaches pounded by the Atlantic surf and see the bird cliffs that surround the quaint coastal village of Vík.
On the way home, you will drive past the greenhouse town of Hveragerði, a place named after the abundant geothermal activity in the area which allows the locals to grow all kinds of plants and produce in row upon row in greenhouses. The sights on this Iceland South shore and Katla ice Cave are impressive, and exploring them in a Superjeep makes the experience even more memorable.
