Your first stop is Mossman Gorge, nestled in the World Heritage-listed Daintree Rainforest. The gorge contains the oldest, continuously surviving rainforest on earth, between 150-200 million years old.
Your journey starts with a Ngadiku Dreamtime Walk, conducted by the indigenous people. Ngadiku (Nar-di-gul) means stories and legends from a long time ago in the local Kuku Yalanji language. This Mossman Gorge tour takes you on a guided walk along private, gentle tracks, visiting special places and culturally significant sites, past traditional bark shelters and over meandering cool rainforest streams.
Next, enjoy a delicious lunch in the rainforest and free time to swim in the crystal-clear waters of Mossman Gorge, surrounded by large granite boulders. These rocks contain a percentage of quartz, these waters are known to be healing to your body, mind and soul.
Head over to the beach to join the Aboriginal Cultural Beach Day. You will have the option to learn to throw a spear before taking a guided walk along the beach and through the mudflats. The guides will educate you on the evolution of the lands.
