The Habitat Penang Hill is a world-class rainforest discovery centre set on the fringes of an ancient rainforest. The park is a gateway to a treasure trove of diversity; over 2,500 wildlife species call this place home.
The proceeds of the park go towards promoting innovative environmental and conservation initiatives via the Habitat Foundation. The Habitat Foundation was established in October 2017 as a sister organization to The Habitat Penang Hill. The Foundation’s mission is to contribute to innovative solutions to conserve biodiversity and protect the natural environment in close collaboration with government agencies, experts, NGOs, and community partners.
Visitors can immerse themselves in the enchanting atmosphere of this 130-million-year-old rainforest after sunset. They will witness stunning light installations along the Langur Way Canopy Walk and Curtis Crest Tree Top Walk. In addition, visitors can now embark along a trail after dark and spot nocturnal animals that call this rainforest home. This new nighttime experiences promise to offer a magical, memorable adventure, with light installations, nocturnal wildlife and educational night walks led by experienced rangers.
