In the very heart of Paris stands the Centre Pompidou, an imposing building made of iron and glass wrapped in colored tubes, elevators and escalators. Built by the architects Renzo Piano and Richard Rogers and inaugurated in 1977, this industrial construction has been a subject of great controversy before becoming one of the symbols of Paris.
You'll discover the history of both the inside and the outside of the building: a vast public library, a research acoustics and music institute, the Stravinsky fountain, numerous cinemas, photo gallery, various exhibitions spaces and the atelier of the sculptor Constantin Brancusi.
