R.C. Collection: Tastes of Croatia: Osijek Old Town and Kopacevo

This half-day tour shines a spotlight on Croatian history, wine and brandy in the city of Osijek and the town of Kopacevo. Osijek might be Croatia’s fourth-biggest city, but it’s got a super laidback vibe, which you’ll feel as you tour its historic centre. A guide will show you the Baroque fortress, which dates back to the 18th century, as well as the age-old Holy Trinity Square. Afterwards, board a coach and zip through picturesque countryside as you travel to the town of Kopacevo. On arrival, delve into some local flavours in a brandy and wine tasting session. Slivovitz – eastern European brandy – comes in many flavours, like plum, cherry, walnut and honey. And the two Croatian wines on the table come accompanied with snacks like flavoured sausage, bread with a vegetable spread, and homemade cake. You’ll also get to chat to the locals and learn about Kopacevo’s fishing trade before heading back to your ship.
