Located in Gamo 4-chome, Osaka, the shop offers a hands-on experience with Risograph and silk screens. It's not just a paper shop, it's a place where you can create and preserve memories of your travels through traditional Japanese bookbinding using high-quality paper.
Option 1 allows you to create your own notebook using Risograph printing. The process begins with an explanation of Risograph printing and ring notebook making. You then decide on the design for your notebook which is printed by the staff. Following this, you get to participate in the process of making a ring notebook - cutting, hole punching, and ring binding. To top it all off, you receive a tote bag to take home.
Alternatively, with Option 2 you could opt for binding a Japanese-style notebook with high-quality Japanese paper. After a brief introduction about making a Japanese binding notebook, you select the paper of your choice. Under the guidance of the staff, you'll punch holes with a drill and bind the book with thread.
Lastly, there's Option 3: make your original T-shirt using silk screen. This involves a brief explanation about silk screen, creating a design either by hand-drawing or selecting from available designs, choosing ink and material (T-shirt or tote bag), stretching the screen on the frame, printing, and drying. You also get to create a badge or magnet of your choice to take home along with your work.
