Upgrade your experience and book an optional excursion package to Giraffe Center Nairoibi, visit to Lake Naivasha and Hell's Gate and take a night game drive at the Taita Hills Sanctuary.
In the afternoon of day 1, you'll visit the famous Giraffe Centre in Nairobi city. Located approximately 12 kilometers (30-minutes) from your hotel, the Giraffe Centre was established in order to conserve the endangered Rothschild Giraffe. You will have 2-hours to spend inside the sanctuary, beginning with an educational talk. Then, use the remaining free time to explore on your own. Look for the educators dressed in khaki outfits to receive food pellets, get up close to the Rothschild's Giraffes, feed them and climb up the raised observation platform to come face to face for a kiss.
On day 4, in lieu of the afternoon boat ride with Crescent Island tour included in your Safari itinerary, travel approximately 30 kilometers (45 to 60-minutes) to the scenic Hell's Gate National Park. Here you will follow your guide up to an elevation where view the Gorge. Experience free time to view the wildlife, go hiking, rock climbing or see even more with a bicycle rental. The entire trip is around 5 to 6-hours.
Finally, on day 7 take a 1-hour night game drive at the Taita Hills Sanctuary. Go on a thrilling drive to see nocturnal animals with a highly trained ranger from the Saltlick Safari Lodge. Equipped with powerful spotlights, you will experience a totally different world after dark and may even watch a predator actively hunting.
