From the winding alleys and windmills of Mykonos town to the monastic icons and golden beaches beyond it, this half-day tour will give you a great introduction to the ‘Island of the Winds'. Ano Mera village, Panagia Tourliani monastery and Kalafati beach are among the stars of the show.
You'll get into the groove straight away with a walking tour of Mykonos town – locally known as Chora. It's a warren of whitewashed alleys that lead towards the pretty harbour. Nearby is the Little Venice area, where balconies hang right over the sea. Next, you'll pinpoint the island's famous windmills, and, if you're lucky, get to say hello to Petros, a great white pelican who's become the mascot of Mykonos.
We'll then hop on a bus to the village of Ano Mera. Drop into its Panagia Tourliani monastery, which has a museum showcasing historic icons. Afterwards, travel to Kalafati beach, where there'll be free time to relax before returning to Mykonos town.
