The private tour begins at your hotel or accommodation. Discover the religious heritage of Mexico on a tour to the Sanctuary of Guadalupe, the 2,500-year-old archaeological site in Teotihuacán, and the colonial church of Santiago in Tlatelolco. Along the way, listen to interesting stories from your guide, whose stories bring each site to life.
Your adventure begins with a visit to the Plaza de las Tres Culturas, the main plaza of Tlatelolco and an introduction to the three main periods of Mexican history: pre-Columbian, Spanish colonial and the modern independent mestizo nation.
Next, explore Teotihuacán, the 2,500-year-old settlement, “the place where the gods were born.” Gaze at the site's mysterious origins as you stroll through the Causeway of the Dead, the Pyramid of the Sun and the Pyramid of the Moon. See the bird motifs on the pillars at the Quetzalpapalotl Palace and admire the serpent-shaped deity sculptures.
After this, you'll go to a local restaurant in the area to eat a typical Mexican meal. Afterwards, you'll head to the largest Sanctuary in Mexico, the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe, where it is believed that she appeared to San Juan Diego. Here, in the place that houses the tilma (mantle) of San Juan Diego, contemplate the old and the new basilica. The tour ends with your return to your hotel.
