The Fátima phenomenon is bigger than the town and the country, and you start the journey by visiting the three shepherds' houses at the town of Aljustrel, four kilometers away from the Sanctuary.
Those were the family residences of Lúcias dos Santos and her cousins Jacinta and Francisco, the three shepherds that witnessed the apparitions of the virgin in 1917.
Heading next to the Sanctuary where there is a lot to visit, mainly the Little chapel of the apparitions, built at the exact place where the apparitions took place, and two Basilicas: Our Lady of the Rosary, that of the shepherds thumbs inside, and the Holy Trinity Basilica, one of the biggest catholic temples in the whole world.
At the sanctuary, you will have free time to explore the religious site, including witness the mass and visit the different religious buildings that are part of the sanctuary. A unique journey through faith and history of one of the most famous places in Portugal. An incredible pilgrimage.
