Meet up at Kubang Badak River Jetty, a coastal river where you will ride a kayak along the mangrove forest. Before you begin, guides will have a short briefing on the safety and using the kayaks. All participants must wear life jackets before getting in to sit on top Kayak.
Start paddling towards the open seas of the Kubang Badak River with your guide. Spot white-bellied sea eagles, brahminy kites, kingfishers, herons, mudskippers, fiddler crabs, and monitor lizards. If you're lucky, you might be able to meet the resident otter family. Stop at Pinang cave; the remains of an ancient sea cave formed by waves when the sea was 25m above its current level is now home to bats, decorated with stalagmite and stalactites. Next, stop at an ancient charcoal kiln. We end with a swim at a small island before returning to the jetty.
Once you're done, you will go to a local floating restaurant for a delightful lunch. End the day with a full belly and a memorable experience.
