There's no better way to see Killarney than by bike. It gives you the chance to see the town's most iconic spots and go beyond to explore its surroundings. There's a huge range of routes to choose from so you can just pick the path, hit the road and enjoy the stunning scenery of Killarney.
Leave Killarney town behind and set off to Muckross, the ideal location for a day of cycling. You can ride along Muckross Road and over the Flesk Bridge to find the cycling path that will lead you straight into the National Park.
The path travels alongside the road for about a kilometre before veering right into the Yew Valley Wood and heading towards Muckross Abbey. You can take some time here to explore the well-preserved ruins and discover the vaulted cloister.
From here, you'll travel on past Muckross Traditional Farms and the fine Victorian mansion of Muckross House. Guided tours are available of the house and a tour of the Farms is a must for both adults and children so be sure to make time in your schedule to stop by. Once you've discovered Muckross House, you should stop by the famous Torc Waterfall as it's a must-see.
