Starting from meeting your guide once collected at your accommodation, you'll be driven 45-minutes North-West to Van Phuc Silk Village. You'll hear how it's traditionally associated with silk weaving in Ha Dong plus how the craft of silk weaving started over 1000 years ago. Then, once you arrive at this village on the bank of the Nhue River, you'll take a peaceful stroll and admire the communal houses, fish ponds and ancient banyan trees.
Next, meet the local families for whom silk production is a method of earning for living. You'll watch the stages of producing handmade silk: from spinning and gluing to weaving and finishing of the silk wares.
