We'll whisk you away from the typical tourist paths and into the heart of the island's rugged landscape on this two-hour buggy ride. Feel the thrill as you roar through twisting trails and desert tracks, guiding you toward the island's southern tip, Punta de Jandia.As your buggy kicks up the sand and the wind whips through your hair, you'll feel the adrenaline surge ramp to 100. Let your local guide lead the way to secluded spots where the views are panoramic and the crowds are low. There'll be plenty of stops along the way, and if you're lucky, you'll get to meet some of the local wildlife, too.Reaching Punta de Jandia almost feels like a victory. Here, you can stand at the edge of the island where the ocean meets the sky, offering show-stopping views and the perfect backdrop to an Insta profile pic. Private Sunset Safari Tour to El Cotillo with Bayuyo Volcano
This exclusive off-road experience takes you through northern Fuerteventura's pockmarked volcanic landscapes to remote beaches and the fishing village of El Cotillo. On this private tour it's just you, your family or friends, plus the guide, so take it at your own pace. Juan Carlos, one of our local guides, says, ‘You can see a string of volcanic craters behind Corralejo. You visit the largest, Bayuyo, on this safari. The last eruption was about 10,000 years ago, spreading lava and ash across the north of the island, and it actually expanded the island by around 100 square kilometres.'You'll be whisked down rural trails and past lava fields as we zoom through Fuerteventura's scarred landscapes. Stopping at Bayuyo's scorched flanks, you'll get to see the crater up close. Juan Carlos adds, ‘A scurry of chipmunks is often waiting there to see if anyone has brought them a snack. They love nuts.' From here, you'll traverse arid terrain in your 4x4 until you reach the beachside hamlet of Majanicho on the northwest coast.Next, you'll follow sandy tracks parallel to the coastline until the splendid beaches and lagoons of El Cotillo come into view. Enjoy ¡ free time in El Cotillo and the chance to grab some dinner. There's a great variety of eateries, so take your pick – tasty tapas in a typical Canarian bar, fresh fish straight to your plate. Stroll to the harbour or enjoy the view from Tostón castle while the sun sinks slowly into the ocean.

Fuerteventura 4x4 tour with Lobos Island catamaran trip
You really can have the best of both worlds on this action-packed full day tour. Criss-cross Fuerteventura's interior by 4x4, getting to know the rural side of island life. Then take to the sea on a catamaran, where you'll receive the full VIP treatment. Kick off the fun with your 4x4 adventure. Calling in at traditional villages, secluded beaches and great viewpoints, you'll get the real inside track on island life. You'll visit a goat farm to see majorero cheese being made and taste some local treats. Learn how the curdled milk is pressed with palm leaves and rubbed with paprika or gofio. Next, ride off-road trails to quiet villages such as La Corte and Valle Santa Ines on the way to the west coast. You'll have time to explore Los Molinos and Playa Jarugo, before heading to the Vallebrón viewpoint for a vista over the Tindaya volcano and Calabaza valley.Back at sea level, you'll have a photo stop at the Corralejo dunes. Heading off-road onto hairpin tracks, you'll bump around the lunar-like landscapes of the Roque de Moro, one of the island's highest volcanic peaks. Here, you'll get breathtaking views over the buffeted west coast before dropping down to Cofete. This mostly abandoned village is home to the mysterious Winter Villa – rumoured to have been a Nazi hideout after World War II.There'll be a photo stop on Cofete beach, and, if the weather's right, extra beach time on the east coast, before you make your way to El Puertito. Here, we'll take a pause – the perfect chance to look around, swim or grab a bite to eat. The final stop of the day is at Punta de Jandia, Fuerteventura's southern tip.
