Found on the Via Emilia, in the heart of Romagna, Faenza is a town that hides a surprisingly great artistic and cultural heritage.
The city's Duomo, also called Cathedral of St. Peter the Apostle, is of great value and a symbol of the Renaissance architecture designed by Giuliano da Majano. The other main monuments are gathered around the two main squares, Piazza del Popolo and Piazza della Liberta, surrounded by medieval buildings and the Clock Tower, the Portico of Goldsmiths and the monumental fountain.
Faenza is also historically famous for the production of ceramics. You can admire many examples of this refined local artistic form in the International Museum of Ceramics.
