See some of Scotland’s most beautiful places on this day trip from Edinburgh.
You’ll head to South Queensferry and stop at the Forth Bridges for a photo op. These two bridges are considered the most remarkable in the world and are surrounded by beautiful countryside.
Your next stop will be the impressive Dunfermline Abbey - the burial place of King Robert the Bruce. You’ll have time to explore the Abbey and see King Robert’s ornate golden tomb.
Moving on, the tour will pass Carnegie Hall, dedicated to the world famous philanthropist Andrew Carnegie and travel along the Fife coast. You’ll stop in Anstruther, an old Herring stronghold with “the best fish and chips in Scotland” and the Fisheries Museum.
Next the bus will continue to St. Andrews. Home to the famous St. Andrews University, this area is a golfer’s dream and a beautiful place to visit. You can visit the grave of famous golfer Young Tom Morris, the Golf Museum, the Links Course putting green, or simply walk along Grannie Clark’s Wynd, a public right-of-way, over the 1st and the 18th fairways of the old course. If you’re not a golf fan, visit the nearby beach, where the opening to Chariots of Fire was filmed, or explore the 16th-century tunnels beneath the town’s castle.
Important note: This tour has a four-passenger-minimum requirement and is subject to cancellation if this minimum is not met. In the unlikely event of such a cancellation, your choice of a refund, reschedule, or alternative tour will be offered.
