Your tour will kick off with a scenic drive to Oughterard, otherwise known as 'The Gateway to Connemara'. On the way, you'll pass through many quaint towns and enjoy stunning scenery before you even enter the national park itself. Here, the scenery is stunning, wild and authentic - it's truly Irish!
During high season (April to October), this tour will include a 90 minute boat cruise around Killary harbour and during the low season (November to March), you'll visit the Killary Sheep Farm instead. Here, you will be given a skilled sheepdog demonstration and learn about how the people and the livestock cope with the barren land and the harsh weather before having a turf cutting demonstration. Who knows, maybe you'll turn a sod yourself!
Then, it's onto Kylemore Abbey which is said to be one of the most romantic castles in Ireland. Here you can snap some photos of the amazing setting and relax before making the journey to Inagh Valley. At Inagh Valley, you'll take in some of the most spectacular vistas that Connemara has to offer! After you've had your fill of stunning scenery, it's time to make the trip to Galway and see the sights that this bohemian city has to offer before heading back to Dublin.
