Discover the Train Word museum which was awarded three stars for the 4th consecutive year in the 2019 Michelin Guide!
Located in the railway station of Schaerbeek, the oldest in Brussels, Train World combines the fascinating story of the train throughout the centuries with a look into the future.
From the very first steam locomotives to high-speed trains, you'll discover the most beautiful and unique pieces from the history of the Belgian railways (5 steam engines, authentic railway cottages among others) amid an unforgettable scenography.
From 26 October 2021 to 17 April 2022, an exceptional exhibition will be organised at Train World on the saga of the Orient-Express and its Belgian founder Georges Nagelmackers. On this occasion, some of the Orient-Express’s mythical carriages will be exhibited in Brussels, at Belgian railway company museum Train World.
One of the highlights of the Europalia Trains & Tracks festival, this exhibition will showcase the decorative arts and unique documents that retrace the epic history of the Orient Express and the Wagons-Lits company.
The exhibition will also include the works of fiction and dreams inspired by this mythical train, from the best-known (Agatha Christie) to the more obscure, and will also pay tribute to the craftsmen who helped created the legend.
