Bayahibe is a tranquil fishing village right on the beach that is prefect for day trips from surrounding resort towns. The perfect starting point for an adventure to the island of Isla Saona, visitors from near and far pass through this beautiful town, admiring its iconic green wooden church on the waterfront. Although Bayahibe has traded its traditional fishing vibe for a tropical tourist feel, you can still find areas filled with characteristic personality. Just 22km east of La Romana, Bayahibe is definitely worth a visit for travelers in the region.
