Following the route close to Marathon you'll approach the lake where the first stop takes place. Marathon Lake is a water-supply reservoir of Athens city, formed from the construction of Marathon Dam at the junction of the Charadros and Varnavas torrents. There you'll have enough time for photos of the stunning view of the Marathon lake dam.
Continuing the tour around the lake, you'll enjoy uncharted routes and panoramic views, until you reach Rathes and the fairy forest of Varnava. There you can admire the colors and the dense vegetation making it an ideal stop in Greek nature.
