Located in North Central Mexico, Aguascalientes is the capital city of one of Mexico’s 32 Federal Entities that holds the same name as the city, The hot springs found in the surrounding areas are what gave it its name that literally means ‘Hot Waters’ in Spanish.
Aguascalientes has been recognized as the city with the best quality of life in South America and it is a very strong business and economic center in the Bajío region, famous for its first class services in the hospitality industry, entertainment, food, leisure activities and recreation, which of course includes the perks of the thermal features that have characterized this city and region for centuries.

Admire the baroque style of the Plaza de Patria and of the city’s Cathedral. Learn about the renowned passion Mexico has with everything to do with death at the Museo National de la Muerte, where you’ll find the skeleton La Catrina and other historic artifacts.
Visit the Museo Aguascalientes that is held in a charming neoclassical building to see the permanent collection of Saturnino Herrán, the 19th century Aguascalientes artist.
