Mikumi National Park is a renowned wildlife destination nestled in the southeastern part of Tanzania. Spanning an area of approximately 3,230 square kilometers, the park is nestled between the bustling city of Dar es Salaam and the impressive Selous Game Reserve. The park is known for its breathtaking savannah landscapes, with vast open plains, rolling hills, and scattered acacia trees that provide a picturesque backdrop for a remarkable safari experience.
The park is home to a rich diversity of wildlife, making it a paradise for nature enthusiasts, who have the opportunity to spot a wide array of animal species, including elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, and buffalos, among others. 05.00 am: Pick up
07.00 am: Departure from Zanzibar International Airport to Mikumi National Park
08.00 am: Upon arrival at the airstrip, you'll be met by your driver guide and proceed for a full-day game drive. You can expect to see many African mammals, including elephants, giraffes, lions, buffalo, zebra and even rare African wild dogs
12.30 pm: In the afternoon you'll enjoy buffet lunch
01.30 pm: After lunch you’ll proceed with the game drive
04.00 pm: Departure from Mikumi National Park
