Meet your tour guide in the lobby of your downtown hotel, hop aboard an air-conditioned vehicle, and head directly to the Emperor Qinshihuang's Mausoleum Site Museum. Listen to the story of the First Emperor’s vision for his afterlife and his unification of China as you marvel at the massive life-sized terracotta warriors and horse troops.
In 1974 when a group of peasants was digging a well, they surprisingly unearthed fragments of life-sized terra cotta warriors made in the Qin Dynasty (221BC-206BC). The great excavation revealed thousands of warriors and their horses - an entire army buried to safeguard the eternity of Emperor Qinshihuang. Hence, the Qin Terra Cotta Army is now over 2,200 years old. The Terracotta Warriors Museum was built at the original excavating place. The museum is divided into three sections: No.1 Pit, No.2 Pit, and No. 3 Pit.
At the end of the tour, get a transfer back to your downtown Xi'an hotel.
