After gathering, hop on the bus bound for Lake Ashi where you'll embark on a scenic boat tour. Soak up the natural beauty of the surroundings as you make your way to the striking red torii gate of Hakone Shrine and the pirate ship floating on the lake.
Next, you'll visit Hakone Shrine, one of the most significant shrines in the Kanto region. With its rich history and numerous important cultural heritage assets, it's a favoured destination for domestic travel in Japan. The torii gate, known as the "Gate of Peace," stands at the edge of the lake against a backdrop of mountains. On a clear day with blue skies, you'll have a chance to see Mount Fuji from this spot.
After visiting the lakeside Hakone Shrine, proceed to Owakudani. Owakudani was formed around 4,000 years ago during the final phase of volcanic activity on Mount Hakone. It is a volcanic crater with hot springs, and its specialty is black-boiled eggs, which are said to extend one's life by seven years when eaten.
