Senja is Norway's second largest island and is characterized by awe-inspiring nature which ranges from the seaside to mountains, fishing villages and inland areas. From the midnight sun in summer to the Northern Lights in winter, there is something to do here in every season. It is an outdoor paradise with a wealth of hiking with varying difficulties and biking trails to choose from, skiing slopes and some of the best fishing grounds. While you’re here, make sure you try to spot local bird life such as the white-tailed eagle, or visit the most northernly located zoo in the world, Polar Park, where you can see the big four creatures: a bear, a lynx, a wolf and a wolverine.
