The inside story
The Wallenstein Palace is a masterful construction that appeared in Prague, Czech Republic during the 17th century. Built between 1624 and 1630 for Czech nobleman Albrecht von Wallenstein, this Baroque palace complex exudes an air of grandeur and importance. And important it certainly is, as the Wallenstein Palace currently houses the Czech Republic’s senate.
You’ll find the Wallenstein Palace situated in Prague’s historic Lesser Town district (also known as Malá Strana) to the west of the Vltava River. It’s not far from Prague Castle. The palace boasts a beautifully adorned interior with corridors connecting the various halls and rooms inside. On the exterior, many are drawn to the Wallenstein Gardens with its lavish fountains, bronze statues, and manicured shrubs.
