The 80 miles of the Columbia River Gorge’s steep rocky sides offer some of the most spectacular scenery in the world: pounding waterfalls, eagles, century-old trees, ferns, flowers and ancient rocks. This half-day of exploring natural wonders with short hikes and visits to overlooks and vistas will have you gasping in awe!
You'll visit a number of waterfalls and overlooks selected by your guide, including the most iconic spots, such as Latourell Falls and depending on weather conditions, a few small hidden waterfalls and another spectacular plunge-style fall with columnar basalt.
Your guide will share many stories, not just about geology and the oft-repeated tales of pioneers and road-builders, but also the old stories of gods and animal spirits and the Beaver princess tragically turned into a waterfall!
