Start your tour with a visit to the majestic Royal Palace and Silver Pagoda complex. There you will admire the elaborately constructed palace buildings and some of the 5,000 silver floor tiles that give the Silver Pagoda its name. Be sure not to miss the spectacular gold and bejeweled Buddha statues that are considered national treasures. Next you will walk to the nearby National Museum, a beautiful sandstone museum that showcases the world’s largest collection of Khmer art.
The tour ends at Phsar Thmey, Phnom Penh’s central market and an Art Deco landmark. There you can follow your guide through the labyrinth of stalls as you learn more about the everyday life of modern Cambodians.
