Enter the heart of the Palace of Versailles and let yourself be transported back to a bygone era on this 1.5-hour guided tour of the private apartments of Louis XV and Louis XVI. These remarkable spaces, true symbols of French refinement and 18th-century taste, offer an intimate insight into the lives of these emblematic figures. You will discover the secrets and stories of French history that took place behind closed doors, out of sight. At the end of the guided tour, you will enjoy free self-guided access to the magnificent Grands Appartements, including the famous Hall of Mirrors, the Jewel of Versailles's crown.

Option 1 (guided tour only): Follow our guide through the Private Apartments of the Kings, then discover the rest of the Palace at your own pace. Available all year long.

Option 2 (guided tour + gardens ticket): After the guided tour, complete your discovery of Versailles by strolling through the Gardens of the Palace of Versailles and marvel at the fountains dancing to the bewitching rhythm of baroque music. This enchanting experience will transport you to a world of beauty and elegance, right in the heart of André Le Nôtre's gardens. Available from end of March to end of October.

Meeting point:

Meet your guide 30 minutes before the start of your visit at the foot of the Equestrian statue of Louis XIV. Look for a guide with a "Destination Versailles Grand Parc" sign with the starting time of your tour.

What to remember

Choose option 2 to visit the French Gardens during the Musical Fountain season (from end of March to end of October)
Due to uneven and steep surfaces, this visit is unsuitable for anyone who has difficulty walking
It is permitted to take photos without flash inside the Palace
No refund will be possible if you fail to be on time at the meeting point
