Explore the recently declassified facility of the Cold War period, built at a depth of 43 meters just 1 year before missile crisis on a one hour guided tour. Today Bunker-703 is a museum of modern fortification built in cast iron dating back to the Stalin era.
Used by the USSR ministry of Foreign Affairs until 2005, inside you will see an active 10 ton door that would have protected the bunker against the shock wave of nuclear strike, as well as many hermetic doors that separate parts of the object. The classified experts worked here until recently and held the most important international secrets of the country. Only in 2018, when the bunker was found to be technically unacceptable, the first visitors were allowed to visit this mysterious subway of Moscow.
This is not your typical museum tour! Watch a short but informative movie providing insight to the history of underground fortification. Then, set the authentic devices to work, check radiation level, have an opportunity to dismantle Kalashnikov gun and suit up in rubber and a gas mask.
