Immerse yourself in the Laotian tradition on this half-day tour. Accompanied by a local guide, you'll discover the national gastronomy and culture while you enjoy a bike ride!
Meet your guide and start your experience by tasting some coffee with a typical pastry overlooking the Mekong River. Ride your bike and head to the nearby morning market, where you'll see the locals selling their goods. Your guide will explain to you the ingredients that characterize Laotian gastronomy, and you'll taste some local delicacies as well. Cycle to the Wat That Luang area to try the traditional Khao Poon, a coconut noodle-style soup, a rare find in Luang Prabang! A short distance away at Ban Vieng Xay village, you'll seat at a local street restaurant and try a variety of food including Naem Khao, a rice noodle crepe, and Khao Piak Khao, a local rice soup.
After tasting the local cuisine, pedal across the old bridge to the other side of the Nam Khan River and stop at the scenic point of the Mekong and Nam Khan rivers for some photos. Continue your itinerary through Ban Xieng Lek village and check out local weaving and Saa paper handicrafts in traditional shops located in a non-touristy side of town.
Your last stop will be at a new restaurant made of bamboo, where you'll try the top-quality local food, a unique experience you can't miss!
