You'll take photos in Nicopolis, cross the River Acheron by boat and wind up at the pretty seaside town of Parga.After crossing over to mainland Greece, you'll make a photo stop by the Early Christian Walls of ancient Nicopolis. Learn about this ‘City of Victory' and take a few pics before heading to Ammoudia. Here, you'll board a boat and glide on one of the most mythical landmarks of the ancient world – the River Acheron. Legend said it was where the souls of the dead would pass through to Hades and the underworld. It's also home to many species of birds.And finally, you'll reach Parga, known as the ‘jewel of Epirus'. This transfer will take you into the heart of the action, where you'll have the evening to explore at your own pace – from the most important monuments to the legendary ‘Sunset Boulevard' at sundown.Walk through the 'cantounia' – narrow flagstoned streets – of the old town, where traditional houses of wood coated with zinc still stand. Pause before picture-postcard churches with interiors richly decorated with frescoes and icons. Next up is Faneromeni Monastery, which boasts great views over the capital and lagoon.Then we'll head along the west coast to Agios Nikitas.
