The tour starts at Neckarmünzplatz and leads over the Old Bridge to the opposite side of the Neckar river. The first place steeped in history is the monastery Stift Neuburg, which was founded in 1130 and offers an impressive history. The next point on the tour is the "Köpfel", a popular viewpoint on the Neckar valley, the city of Heidelberg and the Rhine plain. From there it goes down again into the valley to Ziegelhausen and on the other side of the Neckar steeply up to the Wolfsbrunnen, a restaurant and conference center that was recently renovated. See the glamour of the restaurant's earlier days with a look at the guest list filled with famous artists and royalty. The tour then passes above the castle with a view of the castle garden, the Klingenteich pond and the Jewish cemetery, before returning to the old town.
