Visit the biosphere park Las Terrazas on board a comfortable! In 1985, Las Terrazas and the surrounding Sierra del Rosario National Park have been declared a biosphere reserve by UNESCO. The park was built in 1971 and is the perfect environment for birdwatchers and nature photographers. It counts with several hikes, rivers, waterfalls, and places to swim and also a ZIP-line.
You will then visit a small village built when a mountainous area was being reforested. Today, the village counts more than 1000 inhabitants, who call their community an eco-museum. People in the village are almost totally self-sufficient thanks to tourism and ecological agriculture. The village also attracts many artists who usually open their studios to the public.
