What to expect

An adventurous day out for all the family is sure to get everyone in the holiday mood. With a varied itinerary, this is a trip to appeal to the whole clan. You'll visit some of the island's most beautiful viewpoints as you head off-road in a powerful 4x4, enjoy a camel ride and visit the emblematic town of Fataga.

First up, hop in a rugged off-road vehicle and enjoy a ride around the Chira reservoir. Next, you'll drive up to Ayacata in the central highlands of the island. Continue off road on the trails of San Bartolome de Tirajana and on to the charming hillside village of Fataga. Enjoy some free time here to go for a stroll, take some photos or find a spot for lunch.

Back on your 4x4, we'll head to an aloe vera farm where you'll learn all about the plant and its different uses, before zooming down dusty tracks and trails towards the Camel Park in Arteara. Hear all about these curious animals from your guide and saddle up for a ride. Afterwards you'll be dropped off at the pick-up zone.

Cruising off the coast of the Gran Canaria has always been fun but this boat tour makes it even better. You can now hop off at any of the ports the Blue Bird boat docks in and wander around before hopping back on when the next one sails into port.The itineraries vary and cover four coastal towns in the southwest – Arguineguin, Anfi del Mar, Puerto Rico and Puerto de Mogan. So you can tick off sleepy fishing villages like Anfi, bubbly seaside spots like Puerto Rico and Arguineguin or more dashing towns like Puerto de Mogan.Each has its own charm – and nowhere can the colour of a town be better appreciated than during the weekly market.
