Dine on an array of Italian canapés, followed by an 8-course tasting menu inspired by her family's Sardinian cooking traditions and recipes, in the relaxed setting of the host's own Edinburgh home. The tasting menu includes Carpaccio di salmone, which features salmon marinated for 36 hours and served with fennel, Sardinian Bottarga (cured fish roe), and Sardinian saffron dressing. Another dish is Rana pescatrice all'Algherese, a typical dish from Alghero (Sardinia). Scampi lardellati is also on the menu, consisting of langoustine wrapped in pancetta and accompanied by a potato soufflé. Calamari e piselli is a dish of fresh squid sautéed with green peas, onion, mint, and chili. The menu also includes Polpo alla diavola, which is slow-cooked octopus sautéed in spicy tomato sauce. Scabecciu is a dish of sardines fried in semolina with tomatoes and sweet onions in a vinegar sauce. Gnocchetti al granchio, Sardinian pasta sautéed with crab and courgettes, is served in papillote. For dessert, there is Pannacotta al mirto, a pannacotta with Sardinian mirto liquor (a typical Sardinian liquor) served with Sardinian torrone/mirto sauce and nuts.
