The well-preserved medieval heart of Palma comes to life on this walking tour of the old town. You'll see the Majorcan capital's top heritage sites – including the cathedral and royal palace – discover its most Instagrammable locations and enjoy tastings of local specialities in historic spots.
This tour starts by the vast waterfront La Seu Cathedral and Almudaina Palace – two of the city's most photo-worthy monuments. After seeing the elegant city hall on Plaça de Cort, there's a pit stop at Ca'n Joan de s'Aigo – a café renowned as much for its eclectic old-world décor as for its ice creams and pastries. There are more tastings at St Francis's Convent, where you'll sample local olive oil.
The spiritual theme continues at the Church of Santa Eulalia, on a square packed with cafés, before heading towards the city's largest square, the galleried Plaça Major, and the shaded Plaça del Mercat. The walk ends at the ‘turtles' fountain, a popular meeting point for locals.
