Head to the Norwegian Petroleum Museum to learn all you want to know about Norway’s petroleum industry! Open daily, this hard-to-miss museum is located along the waterfront in Stavanger’s city centre in southwest Norway.

At the Norwegian Petroleum Museum, you’ll get the opportunity to learn the importance of petroleum and offshore petroleum activity to the Norwegian economy and society. The museum contains a collection of objects related to Norway’s petroleum industry and explains how offshore drilling works.

The Norwegian Petroleum Museum opened in May 1999. Fittingly, the museum looks like a small offshore oil platform when seen from the water.
